From what I gathered from the comments at Facebook it appears to be this aircraft?

As I said in the FB comments:

You guys got Tony Banta's P-40E?! This was the old mount of Dr. Bill Anderson at the NWM in Geneseo.

Wouldn't surprise me to see it repainted with a red tail and a huge JE on the side of it.

On the upside, it will be kept in absolutely perfect mechanical condition from front to back, because that outfit does not mess around when it comes to taking care of their aircraft, and that's a very good thing.

A great addition, that will also look very nice helping out their P-38 to chase down their Oscar (I can think of a certain Zero under restoration right now that would make a great addition too).

Speaking of Tony Banta, his Spitfire 16, under restoration at Avspecs, must be getting quite close to completion(?).

I will be out in the Eugene area in June of this year - was trying to figure out which of the Oregon museums to hit up (I only have time for 1) - would Erickson's collection be the best option?

For those of us in Western/Central New York, we know this airframe very well. Saw her many times with Dr Bill at the controls.
