Hello guys.

Today we finally pulled her out for good and ran her up to check that everything was A-OK.

First, let's take a moment to remember who ugly she used to be.





Now, out in the sun...





The goal was to refresh her look as quickly and as cheaply as possible. I think we did better than that! She looks like another plane altogether!











All markings are vinyl, codes are from RCAF 438 Sqn. during the war, they flew Typhoons. So that makes the aircraft a Tyvard or a Harphoon!!

Nice tailwheel!

P.S. I just found one myself. It cost me $100 + my old tailwheel and tire in trade. A buddy is selling his T-6 project and didn't care much which tailwheel type he sold it with... A little bead blasting and paint and it is almost as good as new!

Very nice Ollie. I guess we can't talk your father into flying it down to Geneseo? eh.

Not the first Harphoon or Typhard.

In the 70s, a bunch of Dutch Harvards were painted up as P-47s Typhoons and Fw190s for the film 'A Bridge Too Far.'
