It's amazing to think of the mere size of ww2 and the complexity of it. How many hundreds/thousands of battles took place, how many people suffered, died, wounded, raped, stolen, murdered, lost homes, lost families, loved ones, etc. Im still in awe over it and I don't think one can really appreciate all these facts.

Here is a interesting youtube video of the progression of the war in Europe. Every change in the map is a battle line where men, woman and children fought, died, war materials used, dead left behind, survivors left with horrible images, and lives changed. Its pretty overwhelming.
