USN 'SB' tail code

Looking for a source for verifying a USN tail code painted on an SNJ. The description for the photo says NAAS Whiting Field, so I'm trying to verify 'SB' was indeed Whiting Field.

Nice photo of the SNJ's. I have a couple of T-28 photos with SB tail codes. One was captioned as Saufley Field. I would be interested to learn more as well.

Post-war, but they're not "G"s...so 48-50 or perhaps after the start of the Korean War buildup considering how many are there?

Color...yellow?

At some point, late 50's/early 60's looks like the tail code switched to "2S".

I concur that the field is NAAS Saufley during WWII. Other nearby Pensacola fields used the following tail codes:

NAAS Barin: BA
NAAS Bronson: unknown
NAAS Corry: CB
NAAS Ellyson: unknown
NAAS Saufley: SB
NAAS Whiting: WC

NAS Pensacola: PA

I don't think it's WWII because of the national insignia. Post-47.
