I am looking for an Avenger for a museum to purchase or to give tax credit for. They are looking for a static display.
If anyone may know of an aircraft or project, please contact me by pm, phone, or email.
Thx!

They're about 30 years too late, I'm afraid.

Circa 1980 aIrcraft saw 6-10 ex-fire bombers for sale at the Lewiston, ID airport...for sale at less than $10K, IIRC. Of course at that time you could buy a loaded (Ford not North American) Mustang for $7500.

What happened to all the "borate bombers"?
Have that many been restored of stuck in museums?
There used to be a bunch and I don't see that many fly.

Was not that long ago the Avengers were the red headed step child of warbirds.
I remember in early 90's, all the TBM rice sprayers that I saw at the remote duster strips across eastern Arkansas.
I too wonder where they migrated to....

To Gary and John-
Type the ID or AR into the search field in this PDF (select the search for whole words only option) and you can find all of the TBMs Geoff Goodall recorded as residing in those states...
