DC4 /C54 N55CW, departed Keystone Heights Florida headed to a Utah Museum, however it's only being ferried for static display, so not really one that can be considered in annual.

Kermit Weeks' A-26B Invader USAAF Serial No. 41-39401, registered as N39401, named Pistol Packin Princess, was test flown yesterday, May 2nd, at Chino Airport by Steve Hinton and Mark Moodie (it is configured stock, as a single-pilot aircraft). The aircraft had been under restoration at Aero Trader since arriving in 1997, though had spent quite a number of years as a back-burner project. It is expected to be seen at EAA Airventure this summer.

Quite a short flight, only 5 minutes.

According to the archived transmissions on Liveatc.net the canopy popped open in flight.

The replica Yak-3 registered in France as F-AYAK, owned by Frederic Olivier and Paul Vezard, had its first test flight on May 5th. The aircraft is based at Blois-le Breuil Airfield in Loir-et-Cher. The Yak-3 was constructed using a fuselage built by Jean-Marie Garric, combined with a later all-metal wing, and is powered by an Allison V-1710. It is painted in the color scheme of a Yak-3 of the 15th Fighter Aviation Regiment, flown by Russian ace Alexandr Nikolayevich Sitkovskii. https://www.lecharpeblanche.fr/2022/05/ ... -3-f-ayak/

Also, yesterday, May 8th, saw the long-awaited return to flight of Spitfire Mk.IX PL344, now registered as VH-IUK and based at Albion Park, NSW, Australia. Sold by Tom Blair to Shaune Browne in 2019, the aircraft was initially shipped from the US to Air Leasing Ltd. in the UK, during which time it was repainted by Warbird Colour into its original color scheme it had when assigned to No 401 RCAF Squadron during the spring of 1945. Having not flown in the UK during its stay at Sywell, it was shipped to Australia last year.

There are about 169 P-51 Mustangs currently flying in the world:

On Twitter the account Hush-Kit posted "Weird fact of the day: There is the same amount of airworthy F-22s as P-51 Mustangs". I think the numbers are pretty close, which is remarkable!

Douglas C-53 Skytrooper Beach City Baby, USAAC Serial No. 41-20095, registered as N34DF, returned to the air today on its first post-restoration test flight since being ferried to Franklin, PA, in 2018. It was acquired by Vintage Wings Inc. founder Jason Capra in 2015, and has undergone an extensive and very detailed restoration.

The DC-3 list has also been recently updated to reflect the fact that C-41A USAAC Serial No. 40-0070, registered as N341A, has taken up residence in the UK over the past few years, and that the UK-based Douglas Dakota KK116, registered as G-AMPY, has been back active again and will soon be heading across the Atlantic to the United States this coming week.

Spitfire Mk.XVI TE392, which had operated in Australia as VH-RAF, was acquired by Tom Solano of Jacksonville, Florida earlier this year, and it has now been newly-registered in the US as N14TS. Some months ago, Mr. Solano also acquired Hispano Buchon C.4K-152, previously operated in the UK as G-AWHR, which has since been registered as N109TS.

Thank you, Thomas! I've been informed that the Sea Fury's new Canadian registration is C-FPSF, and the list has been updated thusly.
