Just how many full-scale replica Warbirds are around?
How many replica planes are out there period?
How many Spitfires specifically have they crammed into England?
How many of Talichet's replica aircraft were ever made?

These are the questions we will answer and more, as I update this list of Static Replica Warbirds Worldwide.
I've broken up the list into five sections for the time being.
Please feel free to add a replica that I may have missed or make a comment to edit something misidentified.

The USAF has a few...
A B-24J at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas.
A P-40 at Dress AFB, Abilene, Texas...painted like the aircraft flown by col. Dyess in the Philippines. IIRC...paid for by local donations, thus, I don't think it's on the NMUSAF inventory.
A Fokker Dr. 1, Fokker D.VII, Sopwith Camel, P-26 and MB-2 at the NMUSAF at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Also, I believe the P-38 at McGuire is a replica.

Don't forget a few that people might not think of, for movie work:
1. Peter Jackson's Lancasters made for the never-filmed, "Dambusters" movie
2. Peter Jackson's Helldivers made for "King Kong"
3. The replica B-17F(s) made for "The Mighty Eighth" series being filmed in the UK

Spitfire Emporium in Kitchener Ontario. I believe these folks may have had a part in the fiberglass Hurricane at the Canadian Warplane Heritage, ring a bell with anyone else?

Judging by the autos, I think that Spitfire is a considerably sub-scale.
So does that count?

Well, considering it was flown in there by David Tallichet in 1981 before being put on the pole, I’d say not.

Okay...maybe not!
Seems like a waste of a good flier..along with the Bong memorial P-38 in Wisconson.

Spitfire and Hurricane outside the St George's Memorial Chapel at Biggin Hill.

Google Maps: https://tinyurl.com/e7teyf3v

Used to be real airframes until 1989; the Hurricane is now at RAF Museum, Cosford, the Spitfires LA226 (replaced the Hurricane I think) and SL674 are both with the RAF Museum reserve store.

A pet peeve of mine the state of said P-38.

If only the National P-38 Association's replica at the March AFB museum could have been swapped for the McGuire example. Put old N5597V under roof in California and stick the replica on the toothpick. Having a priceless Lightning outside in the New Jersey weather is not preservation at all.

The Tennessee Museum of Aviation has a full-scale P-51D painted as "Frenesi" displayed indoors.

The Bong P-38 is fully restored and displayed in a beautiful museum. The airframe hasn't flown since the 1940s. What's not to like?

Thinking its a weird perspective of the picture.

Our Spit is a fiberglass replica made in England from moulds taken directly off a real Spitfire Mk IX. It was brought to Canada in 1996 by sea container and was prepared for mounting by Ken Fowler of Legacy Yachts in Brunner, Ontario.

Here's the fiberglass "Kitten" P-51D replica in the new CAF HQ at Dallas Executive. Lit up navigation lights and all. First rate effect.
