Hopefully the 262 will not be arriving alone. A couple of her stable mates would be pretty cool.......like a 109 and a 190 nudge nudge.

I have heard they only want to operate the 109 off grass, so I wouldn't get your hopes up. Would be nice tho..I have never seen a 109 fly!

Just be happy if it arrives. They were supposed to come in 2010, I think 2013 and 2016 and all 3 times canceled a week before the show.

I don't think the 262 was scheduled for three separate years. Anyway, that was then, this is now.

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

2015 Yagen sent his FW190, Mossie, Spitfire and Ju52, great show. Bombertown. Loved the sound of Attu Warrior and B25 Hot Gen who seemed to really enjoy to push it past the viewing area. With a B29 and Privateer and Lancaster along with Silver Dragon and all the others it was awesome. Only seen Yagens 262 flyover the Warbirds over the Beach, never (yet) up close. His 109 is a hot rod, the sound of that DB605 reminds me of a dragster.

I believe so

2010 not sure of the reason it didn't come. I remember it was supposed to be there the year of all the B-17s, which was 2010. We made up for it though because right after the ME262 canceled the F-100 was added.

2013 they were on the schedule in March, but canceled early due to Military Aviation Museum having those tax issues or something

Most recent cancellation was 2015, when he brought his other planes but I think canceled in wake of the Hawker Hunter crash in the UK Air Show as what someone at Thunder was saying that year.

According to the FAA , Training Services (Yagen), the 262 had a "certificate issue date " of 12/14/2011, so it probably wasn't 2010. Serial # 501243, N262Mf, ME 262-B1-A. Expiration Date 12/31/2020.

Awesome addition, now if you can get Fifi to come too. I did get to see the two fly together at Oshkosh, but I am sure a lot of Thunder fans would love to see that.
