2017 Wings Over Houston Airshow - Pictures as Requested

Wed Oct 25, 2017 3:11 pm

Although weather forecast for the weekend was not good, Saturday's turned out to be OK, but Sunday's met the predicted rainfall and perhaps a little more with the front coming thru around 8AM with heavy rain and light rain continuing off and on until around Noon. The Sunday flying schedule was "compacted" with the trainers not flying at all and some of the other acts flying an abbreviated performance. The following pictures were taken on Saturday and Sunday and mixed together in basically the order they were/would have been performed.

Especially the old, non-pointy ones! How cool!

great shots! :drink3:
Did the Collings 'Nam jets fly in formation? I'd love to see a shot of the F-4 and F-100 together!

If they did I missed it. Unfortunately I was busy during most of the Vietnam portion of the airshow. Also missed the Heritage Flight of the Skyraider, A-10 and P-47. The rain Sunday didn't help either with teh show being compacted and some planes not flying that flew Saturday.

No formation - each plane made only one show appearance - the F-4 flew in Saturday's show and the F-100 flew in Sunday's show.

Hi All,

Finally had a chance to upload my videos and photos from WOH 2017.
Thursday and Friday were shot outside Ellington Field, tagging along with the local spotters to a variety of locales (Many thanks guys!) - Saturday and Sunday were shot from the Photo Pit.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you 8)

I've never seen TR looking so gorgeous! This is one old friend I have completely lost track of in the past few years (since she moved away to the other side of Houstonia), wonder if any kind soul among y'all can fill me in on what all has been done to her and when?
