"Tojo's Jinx" P-40E-CU 41-5520 from ADF serials website. http://www.adf-serials.com/2a29b.htm One of their forum members lists this aircraft undergoing restoration owned by Lynn Koenig.

From the Australian War Memorial Collection, this photo has the following caption...
"Darwin area, NT. February 1943. A Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk serial no. A29-34(aircraft B) of No. 76 Squadron RAAF undergoing 240 hourly engine inspection by Aircraftman 1(AC1), J. Good gawd, was there more going on here than just a engine overhaul....? I mean it looks like they dang near took the aircraft apart, was wing removal needed for this level of engine maintenance?

Good stuff

Any date on the Enola Gay photo duggy? I note she has the name nose art, which was applied just before the Hiroshima mission, but does not yet have the fat man mission marks, which seemed to appear a few weeks later?
