Received mine this week as well - Best to date. I look forward to the 6th edition. The B-17 survivor world is increasing, not decreasing. Such a beautiful thing.

While I agree the B-17 population is healthy, when reading the book one s reminded of the groundings of recently flyable aircraft (The Boeing Bee, the French example), and the ones that rarely fly.
That's not a criticism, after all they're not exactly personal planes, just an observation.

Still, in the old days when there were many more flying, they were working planes, unrestored and unavailable for rides, and we have to remember in the 70s one was lost every couple of years firefighting, so I guess we are living in the "golden age" of the type.

Scott, got my copy from the in-laws for Christmas. Great book! I'm having a hard time putting it down. Great idea sending out the postcards advertising the book was available. My wife passed the postcard on to her parents and they ordered it for me.

Thanks for your hard work on the book and Aerovintage website.

Doug

Re: availability in the UK: the aerovintage website offers shipping of the book to the UK on the order form. It is just quite expensive, sad to say. I'd like to get a UK dealer but have not yet worked that out.

Good job, Scott. My copy was waiting for me when I got home this weekend. Worth every nickel!
