Kudos to Yankee Air Museum for continuing to offer their members the opportunity to ride C-47 "Yankee Doodle Dandy" to the Big Dance.

Nothing quite like arriving in style. 8)

The plan was for Rod's Mosquito FB.VI to fly this year, but I'm not sure it'll be ready in time for Oshkosh!

It was rumored to be attending Wings over Wanaka event in NZ on the 30th March-1st April. Hopefully it'll be completed by then!

Not necessarily warbird related, but some cool news regarding "The Year of the Tanker" and the 70th Anniversary of the Air Force Reserve:

https://www.eaa.org/en/airventure/eaa-a ... flightline

Are there any warbirds flying in Air Force Reserve markings?

The possibilities for current military aircraft are also interesting. Would be cool to see the new KC-46 Pegasus as well as a KC-10, KC-130 and KC-135.

that could be cool to see. With the C-97 there, that could act as a KC-97 for this event. Would be nice to see some sort of fly by with the C-97 as well as the KC-135, KC-10, KC-130 and KC-46 sort of like we got with the bomber parade last year.

The announcement I think we were all hoping to hear: A tribute to the RAF's 100th anniversary.

This is starting to get interesting. :D

Considering how much support the USAF gives British airshows like RIAT, I think it's past time the RAF returns the favor with a BBMF North American Tour. I'm only slightly kidding.

This is going to be awesome. Here's hoping for the Lancaster, a few Spitfires and maybe a Hurricane or two.

wouldn't be too hard for the Lancaster from Hamilton Ontario to come over as well as their Spits and Hurricanes. Would love to see the RAF Lancaster from UK come too, but that's not likely. There are already a couple RAF jets coming like a Vampire and a Meteor. They also mention modern aircraft so hoping for a Typhoon and a Tornado at least

More than likely, modern RAF support will be a heavy like last year's A400M. So possible A400M return/C-17/Voyager/C-130?

Spitfires that are possible include: P9374, BL628, BR601, MK959, MK304/TE294.

Jerry Yagen could bring KA114 again but am I right in thinking MAM will not take any aircraft and operate them away from Virginia Beach anymore? There's always a chance for Rod Lewis' Mosquito too.

KZ321 is pending sale on Platinum Fighters so chances of seeing that at Oshkosh are questionable.

That was the hope, but a friend visited on Monday and said it may fly before year's end.

EAA have said TFLM's P-51C Mustang should be at Oshkosh. They have also said Kermit Weeks' Sopwith Pup and Fokker D.VII should also be in attendance. :D

Kermit posted some photos yesterday on social media of an EAA camera crew filming his Pup. Maybe for an AirVenture promo?
