P-38 with radial engines.


The P-38 with radial engines seems interesting. I would presume that it would have had the same funky flight characteristics as the non C/R Allison powered models though? As far as I am aware, there were no counter rotating radial engines?

now that im looking at it again the radial engined P-38 wouldnt need the radiator scoops in the back of the boom would it?

Needs B-25 vertical stabilizers then!

Those are scoops are for the unique oil recovery system recycling the oil being flung off the radials...or oil coolers? :roll:

The single tail P-38 with radial engines starts to look a lot like an F7F....
