Dave Hansen, left us this Morning

Fri Jan 12, 2018 12:37 pm

A friend to a lot of folks, and a pain in the side to others, but a valiant fighter to the end. He passed away at 3am this morning after struggling with liver cancer. Good bye my friend.

Rest easy Dave. It was great to fly with you. Awesome job on the Harpoon.

Poor Dave. He was a good fellow.

This is just very sad.

I knew him during the 90s at Chino. Good guy. His wife also died of cancer several years ago. Terrible news.

R.I.P..
I was fortunate enough to meet and work with Dave on a project and also spent time with him at
"Thunder over Michigan" . I sure will miss his witty banter and ornery self.

Man. Dave was a part of Pioneer Aero Service when I first came out to Chino. At that time he worked on the two Mustangs that went to Doug Arnold in the UK. He is the second PAS guy to go from this disease, Kent "Rocky" Rockwell having passed away some years back. Sad thing indeed.

RIP

That is truly sad news. Dave was a master working with aluminum. I used to watch him work on his English wheel and was amazed at his talent. One day he told the wife and I that it was taking him forever to fly cut some inspection port mounting rings so the wife told him to drop off the aluminum at her shop and she had her guys stamp them out for him free of charge. She will be very sad to hear this news.
Dave flew his beautiful RV-4 in the strangest formation I was ever in when he flew along with us in the H-21 and a Bird Dog from Chino to Pt. Mugu NAS. Sorry to hear about his wife as she was a very nice lady and that had to be very tough on him.
RIP Dave and you will always hold a bright spot in our memories.

God rest Dave - it was a pleasure to work with him here in Wendover over the years. He will be missed.
