J.A.D. McCurdy flew the "Silver Dart" at Baddeck, Nova Scotia, 23 February 1909, the first flight of an aircraft in Canada.
Looks like in 2009 an F-86 was painted in tribute to 100 years of flight in Canada at that time. Very nice indeed but looks new control surfaces at the time of the photos being taken.

Very cool idea and a nice tribute.

The scheme in those photos was only a temporary one to cover the former USAF markings for the ferry flight to Gatineau, QC and then Cold Lake, AB in late 2008.
She was repainted soon after at Cold Lake into Golden Hawks colours for the 2009 and subsequent airshow seasons.
