Making the 1969 movie "The Battle of Britain" ...

This is a really cool video. Only one problem :( ... you need to access it through facebook.
What you'll see: Large formations of CASA 2.111's, Buchons, Spitfires and Hurricanes from the ground as they fly over for the cameras. Really amazing film.

Spanish, English, and American pilots flying Spanish bombers painted like WWII German aircraft dropping concrete bombs on a Russian fishing fleet.......

I know there are plenty of purists who will turn their noses up at the CASAs and Hispanos, but man....can you imagine if that entire fleet showed up 'today' at Duxford for Flying Legends?

Enjoyed the shots of the parachute dummy. The story behind it is funny.

Here's a link to an article from a 1970 Flying magazine article by a well known former RAF pilot on the making of the film.
