Vintage Westinghouse 24V D.C. Generator Type P-1

Mon Jun 04, 2018 4:07 pm

I'm going thru a few manuals to sell and the one with this unit(part no. 91-A-987-GR3), in it has no date on it. Most of the manuals have been 30's and 40's vintage. Also contained is info on the Silverstat 24V Voltage Regulator Type AVR-8-A and Generator Current Controller AVR-14-A. I've googled, but no joy. Anyone got a clue what these units vintage may be. Thanks for your time in looking!

The AVR-8-A was superseded by June 1944 according to T.O. 03-5-69,dated 20 June 1944, page 47. Likewise, the AVR-14-A has the same fate, page 49, same T.O. Both were Westinghouse manufactured items.

The 91-A-987-GR3 Generator was a 200 amp unit, with a speed requirement of 2500 to 4500 rpm and weighs in at just under 44 pounds.. Same T.O., page 37.

Cool! Pre-6/'44. I forgot to mention it's a Westinghouse Aircraft Equipment, Instruction Hand Book. Thanks Craig!
