I was going thru a link that was in one of the other threads below and seen this. It looks like someone's creation for island transportation created from a wing float or tank?? Yes...no???

Looks like a fuel tank and that is what the caption said.

"Ground crew men on Iwo Jima took a used fighter plane drop tank, added a one-cylinder engine and "found" wheels to create "The Bug".
