It's a pity that many of the earlier combat aircraft such as the Vengeance, Baltimore, Maryland, Hudson, Battle and others have fallen off the radar of more popular wardbird culture.

It's not that collectors have ignored them, the fact there aren't any around is the general lack of complete survivors...(Hudson excepted...that's a type I'm surprised there aren't more of considering it could be used as a transport).

JohnB understood. I guess I was also referring to the fact that little has been written about them and tracking their history. My maths teacher flew Baltimores and Marylands with the RAAF 459Sqn in the Desert war and Italy.

What about the Maryland that languishes somewhere in Africa?
