At some point in the past it use to be marked as 41-1110 https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/view/1525200
Which seems to be a s/n for a B-24D http://joebaugher.com/usaf_serials/1941_1.html

(Had to redo the above as an image because I couldn't find a way to type that odd symbol used for "Observation".)

Before it became "Ace in the Hole", this airplane was operated by the Aggie Wing (IRRC) of the CAF, and it was usually referred to as "Aggie 101" or just plain 101.

The photos of 101, I shot at the flyover the Johnson Space Center in Clearlake, Texas, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the moon landing, July 1989.

I do not remember if the 101 was officially presented as "Ace in the Hole" during Wings over Houston 1989, or 1990. I shot a lot of photos of that ceremony at Ellington Field, but have not scanned the negatives to digital format.

Saludos

Tulio
