Anybody else notice in the 1st October Trade-A-Plane on page 45 there is a 1953 Hawker Sea Fury that was auctioned?? on 18 Oct of this year? Maybe John Terrell can chime in please?

It may have been the former Hart Flying Fighters Baghdad Fury in Australia, VH-SHF ex-ZK-SFR. It and a few other machines were up for auction by the Australian federal government.

I believe it was for tax reasons, I've never read too much into it. He had quite the collection.

I'm very pleased to hear it will fly again. While I was hoping it would come back to NZ I hope the new owner repaints it into a nice RAN scheme.
