I had a really good time at the Show today! The WX was perfect! I spent most of the day babysitting the T-33, and shooting pictures when I could. Great to see the Hellcat and King Cobra! I can't tell you how many years it's been since I've seen those types flying. Probably back in the Breckenridge days. Believe it or not, this was the first time I've ever seen Special Kay fly! (CrewDawg said I apparently must live under a rock). The four-ship C-47 paratroop drop was really amazing. Each airplane had something like 7 or 8 jumpers aboard. Quite a spectacle. Great show!

A few from today (Saturday) - actually took waaaaay too many photos so I actually have too many to sort through, but these tell a little of the story.

I'll probably post a lot more here when I get some time next week: https://www.flickr.com/gp/160821404@N04/VjZN0E

I'm debating heading back to the show after church tomorrow. Likely will.

It was great to see some ole-time WIXer friends this weekend. Here's Simon at the controls of the C-47 from Meacham.

Personally, I find the non-standard insignia on the one C-47 bothersome. The points on the stars should line up with the white bars on either side, but I digress. Before all the standardized replies follow, yes I already fully understand that I could 1) offer personally pay to have it repainted or 2) purchase a c-47 myself and have it painted any which way I choose to.

Looks like a good time was had by all. Got great reports from several who were there. Sadly I had to work and couldn't make it.
