Those who research and follow US Navy VF squadrons during WWII will know that photos of VF-27 Grumman F6F Hellcats are quite rare. Rarer still are Air to Air photos. But since it's Halloween.

Pilots and crew and an F6F-3 Hellcat of VF-27 as it appeared in October 1944 when it served aboard the USS Princeton.

As I understand it, Yanks Air Museum in Chino CA has sold their F6F Hellcat painted in VF-27 markings to Fagen Fighters.
