This showed up in the background of a local craigslist add, looks like a Gaurdian, it’s shown located at Weiser Airpark near Houston, any ideas what it’s status is?

I stand corrected, as this does appear to be the Burchinal Guardian. The landing gear threw me - In the Platinum photos they appear to be painted navy blue, while in this photo they appear to be painted white (also the white stripe across the top of the tail looks different). The paint appears to be faded in comparison as well (pre-restoration?).

Is the Guardian actually at Weiser?

Unfortunately Weiser's days are numbered, as the property is for sale (for development).

He repainted it, has run the engine(not sure when the last time was) but I don't think its flown. Its located in Paris, Tx. Looks like he's just trying to flip it.

There's never been one on the airshow circuit. Recently viewed the one at Pensacola. It has the bomb bay doors open, lots of ordnance and bells and whistles. Right now this one looks like a giant crop duster. He would be well advised to add some ordnance, bomb bay doors if it had them, and at least come up with some drawings on his own on how to make it a two or four seater. Awfully huge aircraft to not be able to take a few passengers. The market is; "a cheaper option when compared to buying a TBM, or Skyraider". That's its market.

That would suck. I flew out of MVP for several years. Closing another small field with flight training is hurting the industry. I know many pilots do not want to train at larger fields, or ones with towers. The rates at the larger airports are higher too. It might require a farther drive in the future for flight training or rentals. I hope Weiser survives.

I remember seeing this one fly at the Tico Airshow back in the mid 80's when Leeward owned it.

Unlikely, unfortunately. They are asking $24,000,000 for the land...

Sad deal. Kinda like what happened to Andrau.
