Chicks Dig Warbirds.......right?

The Dixie Wings P-63 King Cobra operated off the grass strip at Yagen's Military Aviation Museum at previous airshows (and seems to be slated again in 2019) Seemed to be fine.

I brought Dixie Wing's P-63 into Geneseo last year and I can attest that the Kingcobra does just fine on an improved grass runway. You just have to be mindful of the nose gear. I'm sure the 39 is the same way. I'm very conservative with these aircraft, so I wouldn't take it on any short, marginal or rough grass/dirt runways, but one has to remember that in Russia they operated out of way rougher terrain than Geneseo or any modern, improved, grass runway.
