Hi All,

Just a heads up, I am overhauling the Hughes OH-6 Cayuse registry.

The old version is still live. Take a look and see if you might be able to update the info or fill in the picture gaps.
http://www.warbirdregistry.org/heloregi ... istry.html

If you've already submitted info then I will be including it during this overhaul!

If you have sent in info or pics of our favorite flying egg then nows the time!

69-16054 is being used by the Pinal County (AZ) Sheriff's Department.

I'll send a photo.

As I mentioned in a previous post, the University of Cincinnati has an OH-6A, s/n 68-17268, that has been turned into a dinosaur sculpture on display in the Walter C. Langsam Library.

When I was a Border Patrol Agent in the late 1990's to early 2000's I used to get to fly in some of the OH6's we had. Unfortunately I didn't record registration numbers. I'll ask a buddy of mine I worked with, and who flew the OH6's, if he has any of the registration or serial numbers.

According to Joe Baugher, the one at the Mid-America Air Museum is 66-7865.

The Border Patrol Museum in El Paso has a OH-6. Unfortunately I can't see it's registration number in any of the photos online.

I'm amazed, never have I found so many pictures of an aircraft but not the right one to figure out the N-number.... I wonder if it's even marked?

No kidding! Perhaps a phone call to the museum would solve the mystery?

I got a hold of my buddy that flew the OH-6's with the Border Patrol. He can't remember any of the registration numbers. Since he never flew as the PIC (long story why he never flew PIC), he didn't log any of the numbers.

Found a picture from 1997 when I worked in Brownsville, TX. He's hovering over the Rio Grande River. Unfortunately I have no idea on the registration number. I wish I'd been smarter back then to document N numbers.

Little sleuthing on the internet and I found out this info about 68-17175. It was with the Border Patrol in San Diego and then went to the USDA. It was registered as N5185B. Unknown where it is now.

Not my photo

The code upgrade is done and several new entries add. Now on to updating the entries.

Cool. Thanks Scott!

Hey,

just in case you weren't aware of it, the reason all the former Border Patrol OH-6 were listed as being in El Paso (even though the OH-6's were assigned all over the border area) was because that was where the HQ for the flight OP's was (or still is) for the Border Patrol .
