TBM reunion and airshow and salute to veterans will take place May 14-15 at Peru ,Illinois regional airport. 14 plus TBM’s plus P51 , Hellcat, and others. Hope weather is better than it was 2 years ago, storm front came thru like a sudden hurricane, chased me to my car and got the heck out of there. They flew a quick abbreviated show and hangered most aircraft before the stuff hit the fan.

I'll be there anyway. If there's a window to fly, I want to be there. If not, I'll still be able to look at what's there.

Enjoy a fun and safe weekend, all!

Saw the TBM and F4U-4 from WOTN pass over me north of Rochester just after noon...chugga chugga...

Went anyway because I'm stubborn and dumb, and didn't know it was cancelled until I got there. They still let anyone who showed up in to look around and plenty of aircraft went up at various points throughout the day - I saw seven TBMs, Corsair, B-25, C-47, C-45 and a few T-6s. Here are a few photos.

The PBY is now owned by John O'Connor.

The B-25 "Yankee Doodle" is owned by Tri-State Warbird Museum and is the former "Axis Nightmare" repainted for the Catch-22 series on Hulu. I love the scheme and hope they keep it that way.

I was there Friday and Saturday. It was a great event, even though the weather on Saturday wasn't the best.
