Alright, who had one of these as a kid? As a navy brat in the 70s this was mandatory kit.

I remember those! Unfortunately never got one. I was probably too busy with my Evil Knievel Stunt Cycle to fly Corsairs off a carrier deck.

Never had the carrier but in the early 60's I did have the Whirlybirds H-21 motorized rescue helicopter with the attack force. I fulfilled a childhood dream by getting the left seat on a flyer.

Being an Air Force kid, I never got the carrier, but my driveway is about the length of a typical SAC runway...in 1/72nd scale.

Love the Remco Whirlybird, never had one though.
I do have several 60s toy helicopters though...including 2 nice plastic H-19s.
