Some interesting finds from a recent donation to the Connecticut Air & Space Center. One is what looks like an original drawing of the purposed V-337 Cargo Plane. (I think Fairchild won that contract). What's interesting to note is that the artist apparently was given direction to alter the V-tail configuration.
And then there is this beautiful line drawing of what I can only figure what was supposed to be the OS2U-4 Kingfisher.
Wikipedia states:
"OS2U-4, Two aircraft converted with narrow-chord and high-aspect ratio wings, also fitted with full-span flaps. Not developed."Sure would love to see someone come out with a nice "what-if" model kit of this one!
