Warbird Information Exchange

T-28A N9862C crashed in Ontario Oregon on 8-9-19 leaving the pilot dead and the passenger injured. This plane belonged to Merle Maine and is still registered to what appears to be a family member who wasn't aboard the plane. The plane looks fairly intact but no idea how hard the impact was.

I was talking to a friend just this week who flies a T-28 and he seemed concerned that the fatal accident rate lately is pretty high. Maybe this isn't the appropriate place to discuss it, but any thoughts?

There's a pretty good amount of T-28's flying and being warbirds it'll be higher profile. I think if anything comes out that any of these accidents are related it should be something to think about, but from the looks of it all of the accidents have been their own reasons.

That's fair, but he seemed to be saying he thought he was seeing a trend.
