Since the question is inevitably coming, 5 of the 6 ended up being shipped to the US in 1968, and disassembled for parts by Cavalier.

Saw that video years ago. Hard to imagine that all the sand that got into the cylinders was totally flushed out and that there wasn't substantial cylinder interior damage when they first started it up.

Gotta hand it to the guy though. He kelp on pushing and did the best he could.

And he had no Mustang experience prior to those flights. I wonder what his tail dragger experience was (maybe I missed that in the video).
