Trying to locate a squadron patch from the 8th Bomb Squadron in Korea, circa 1953. Scarf and lighter shown below show patch. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I'd have to ask....the CAF Invader Squadron may have some reproductions. They may have changed their sq patch in the past few years.

I'll get back to you.

Combatmech,

I must admit that I overlooked reaching out to them. I look forward to hearing from you. My wife's grandfather was a B-26 pilot with the 8th in Korea and we commissioned an artist to paint a picture commemorating his DFC mission. We're working on getting it framed, but I'd like to add the patch below the painting in a separate area of matting (along with wings/DFC medal/citation).

Thanks!
Jordan

No worries. My dad was with the 13th. Glad to help. I'll see those guys this weekend.

Jordan, Korean War vintage 8th patches, and repops show up on ebay from time to time. There's also a "Hot to Trot" patch the 8th had back then. Please Keep in mind the that there were minor variations in the Eagle over the years, with the early 8th Vietnam patch quite close to the Korean era patch. . Here's a patch to compare:

Hemiman,

I've been keeping my eye out on ebay, but haven't had any luck. I did find a couple interesting old listings on Worthpoint, but I'm trying to acquire one ASAP as we had a painting done to commemorate my wife's late grandfather's service in Korea and would like to include a patch in the frame with the painting (along with wings and DFC medal).

*** Follow up***

Talked to the Invader guys over the weekend. Somewhere in their road " geedunk " kit ( t-shirts, patches whatnot ), they do have a few old squadron patches.
I am waiting to hear back if they have any left.

I work in the hangar they are based in. They aren't here everyday...however, When I do see someone from the Invader Sq, I'll keep after them about it.

I have personally embroidered patches for all the 381st BG Squadrons, Wild Weasel, Champaign Lady and Gal (Urbana) and about 10 other requests …

I looked and cannot find a good quality .jpg of the patch .

If anyone has one I'll give it a try but there are about 3 designs all different and some are more difficult than others.

If someone has a decent image of it, I could redraw it in vector.
