And the award goes to (drum roll...) Kevin. Yes, two in fact. The initial recovery of these and several other airfames was detailed in Issue #111. But little happened thereafter with both internal and external interference holding things up for two years, however that has now changed......

Sopwith, I haven't heard of anyone outside NZ receiving their copies as yet- hopefully not too far off.....

How is international postal service doing, anyone in the U.K. got theirs yet? Starting to panic and getting withdrawal symptoms now :D

Some hope, I got an email entry for the Mystery Aircraft Competition out of Australia and the USA yesterday...UK/ Europe can't be far behind (hopefully). It's only been three weeks since it was posted.... :shock:

Got my issue today (New Jersey, USA).

Dave, any more information on the note on the inside cover that the TVAL is no longer manufacturing aircraft?

I do a great deal of international shipping and delivery times are much greater than they used to be, sometimes almost ridiculously so. I ordered a small item from Australia and waited over six weeks to receive it. I have one package coming from China that is going on nearly two months while another I ordered at nearly the same time only took about three weeks. Seems to be all over the place right now. I have never seen my local post office as busy at it has been since the pandemic started, not even during Christmas season. I don't know what people are shipping but they are shipping a LOT of it.

Dan, no more than the usual rumours. As I understand it the pilot training days will resume in September (two were cancelled during the 6 week lock-down). These have been a regular thing for the past few years, but are not a 'public' event as such. IIRC they run about six of those a season to keep pilots of the aircraft current etc.
It seems they intend to continue operating the fleet they currently have, and I a hoping they will complete the projects they already have underway - time will tell guess.

I got mine pretty quick which I was surprised about. Due to the limited number of flights mail is going via ship and not via plane at the moment.
