Some of you on WIX for a bit may recall the restoration of the KVTA F4 in Newark Ohio. The past few weekends have seen us doing a repaint and new decals after 9 Ohio winters.

I'm on the lookout for some solar powered LED lights for the red/green nav lights as well as the noise gear lights...the addition of these lights will spruce up the night display appeal.

I did buy a test LED light from wish.com but the shipment is stuck somewhere...who knows.

Am curious if WIX members have any leads on solar powered LED lights that might be a fit for our bird...

Any updates on the lights, paint, or decals?

Can you share a little about how Sherwin Williams matched the FS colors at the hardware store?

Not with the Ohio group, but when I needed to have Sherwin-Williams match paint for my projects I would paint white 3x5 plastic cards with the colors I wanted matched and take them to the S-W paint store and they would match them using their process for doing so. They always hit the mark and the end result was good. The only problem I had was with a gloss blue that confused their machine, but they got it right.

Speaking of Sherwin Williams and big paint companies mixing military paint...
I got the PPG MilSpec code for Air Force Strata Blue for my Jeep project.
The local PPG shop mixed it for me without any problem.
