NICE Theme! The last time Thunder had B-25's as a theme aircraft was 2007 when FIFTEEN Mitchells showed up.

Maybe we can shoot for TWENTY this time.

Look forward to next August.

Having flown a B-25 for several years, I am partial to Mitchells, but this has already been done several times. What about an A-26 Invader Invasion?

There have been an abundance of B-25 gatherings in the Midwest over the past 10 years or so...wish the Luftwaffe theme would be redone.

I thought for sure it was going to be an A-26 gathering this year.

I've been to a few big B-25 shows now between a previous TOM, the Urbana/NMUSAF events and the gathering a couple years ago at Oshkosh, but I'm not complaining. Big B-25 shows are always fun and I'm sure this will be too. Maybe we'll get to see a few airframes that aren't typically seen in the Midwest.

An A-26 gathering would have been awesome...now you have me dreaming.

Does anyone have lists of the airframes that attended the TOM gathering, and the Ohio gatherings? I think there was one in Ohio that had 17, and another that had 20...

The 15 at the TOM gathering in 2007 were:

Take-Off Time
Doolittle Raiders Special Delivery
Killer B
Martha Jean (now Georgie's Gal)
Tondelayo
Panchito
Hobbes (now Champaign Gal)
Lady Luck
Miss Hap
Pacific Prowler (now God and Country)
Miss Mitchell
Axis Nightmare (now Yankee Doodle)
Briefing Time
Betty's Dream
Yankee Warrior

There were 20 at the 2012 gathering at NMUSAF.

Panchito
Pacific Princess
Miss Hap
Russian Ta Get Ya
Grumpy
Betty's Dream
Axis Nightmare (now Yankee Doodle)
Yankee Warrior
Executive Sweet/My Buck
Barbie III
Champaign Gal
Doolittle Raiders Special Delivery
Tondelayo
Old Glory
Take-Off Time
Miss Mitchell
Show Me
Yellow Rose
Maid in the Shade
Devil Dog

There were 11 at the most recent NMUSAF event in 2017 and I believe 13 at Oshkosh the same year. I was at all of these, but am a little hazy on the Oshkosh count because there's a lot of other warbirds to remember there. :D

As I recall they had 19 in the flyover. If I remember correctly, one had a mechanical issue and had to land elsewhere.
