Sorry, you are right. That's what I get for not double checking what I'm typing while I'm at a Civil Air Patrol meeting, looking for a story on something else, remembering this one popping up on my Facebook feed, and then seeing a post from Steve Dean (an aviation acquaintance) popping up in my feed and realizing I hadn't spoken to him in a while. :axe:

Anyway, corrected my original post and have made a reminder to talk to Steve soon. :drink3:

No problem, thanks for setting the record straight, I appreciate it.

B-17G “Thunderbird” left Lone Star Flight Museum at 1:11pm to its new home in Mt Pleasant, Texas.

Guess I need to update my avatar photo.

Thanks for posting that. It wasn't too long ago that we had two B-17s liable to be seen tooling around the area between Houston and Galveston: T-bird and Texas Raiders. So not only were we subject to relatively frequent B-17 sightings, we were so fortunate as to be obliged to wonder which one it was. Ah, those were the days. Alas, our bonny birds have flown north.

Over the years Raiders was at Hobby, Ellington, Hooks (NW of Houston), and now based at Conroe north of Houston).
