Some of you may be curious to see that Rob Dulaney has listed his Hamilton T-28R-2, N28DS, for sale on Barnstormers. I believe she used to race at Reno as "The Bear" in the 80's and 90's.

I believe this is 28DS in 1983. It was enthusiastically raced for a couple of years in the very early 1980s by Dwight Reimer after Dwight sold his well known A-26 "Cotton Jenny". It was not called "The Bear" til much later. Is this airplane in the Registry here?

‘The Bear’ is N137NA, a different airplane to the one from the one advertised on Barnstormers.

Thanks, Mike.

My first mistake of the year: Trust the internet.

WIXers, my apologies for any confusion. N28DS is still a pretty cool bird.

I thought the Skyraider was supposed to leak oil like a sieve. By the looks of the floor in the T-Hangar the T-28 isn't too far behind. It appears that they had to buy out all of the kitty litter in all of the pet stores & supermarkets in the local area.

A friend of mine that once owned one of each, told me if you want to learn to fly, buy a T-6. If you want to learn to be a mechanic, buy a T-28.
