According to their Facebook page this Bearcat was just recently acquired by Jack Erickson for his Erickson Aircraft Collection... That's great to hear as they fly their birds quite often...

I can't be specific until a formal announcement is made, but The Historic Flight Foundation has already acquired another airworthy warbird to replace the Bearcat in its collection.

So, it's not a case of "downsizing".

The Bearcat was flown to Oregon from Spokane on Aug. 25.

Come on, no one's going to start speculating what the HFF/John Sessions' new aircraft is? :D

I’ll be visiting Spokane with the tour the end of October so I hope to see and photograph the new Bearcat at that point.

I’ll bite - what’s the ID of his new one?

The new aircraft is not a Bearcat, but if you mean "bearcat" as in its replacement, it might be here by then. That's way above my pay grade.

But please stop in anyway, there is some interesting stuff...P-51B, Spitfire MK IX, B-25D, ex-hump C-47 (converted post-war to a DC-3), world's only airworthy Hamilton, beautiful Staggerwing, immaculate Stearman and Pacific veteran L-4, and a few more...

If you wish to PM me, I'll be happy to show you around.

Is it the Vintage Wings of Canada P-40? I see it showing as sold on Platinum's website.
