Dave from Classic Wings is one heck of a nice dude!!!!

Just got my free copy today Dave.

Boy do I miss the good old day of going to one of the rare spots in Montreal you could get Warbird magazines.

The fun of choosing a few mags and reading good articles.

I guess I am getting old and nostalgic....hehe....

Thank you Mr. McDonald!!!!! REALLY appreciated.

And the add-on photocopy pages of the Betty getting assembled in Guadalcanal was a very nice touch. Hoping it will be displayed indoors, but I was surprised on how complete the fuselage seems to be.

Sincerely from Canada.

Dave and his boss Graham at Classic Wings are both top notch guys and supreme enthusiasts. I visited a few years back and was treated very well.

Aww shucks. Thanks for the kind words- now I just have to convince my wife

The Betty, a P-38, and a few other of the Japanese aircraft are due to be part of a proposed museum at Henderson Field (incorporating the original control tower). Some sort of cover - at least a roofed open air structure will be considered, but that all depends on funding etc. Long way to go yet. Currently the Betty is awaiting new tyres so it can be moved.

cheers and enjoy the mag

Dave
p.s Yes, Graham used to post on the old board, but spends all his time on the phone these days
