B-24H "Dream Boat" 753rd BS, 458th BG ...

B-24H-10-DT 41-28706 J4-F "Dream Boat" (Later named "Spare Parts") from the 753rd BS, 458th BG. On May 5, 1944, this aircraft, flown by the Thompson crew on their second combat mission, would crash near RAF Odiham Hampshire, England due to battle damage, killing four and injuring six.

RAF Odiham. During the Second World War North American Mustangs and Hawker Typhoons were flown out of the base. After the Allied invasion of Europe the site became a prisoner of war camp.
