Just been found and never before seen so I have to hold off on posting until December. Those of you who are aviation historians will need to be sitting with oxygen nearby.

Not footage: fotage. That is, photos not movie film.

I’ve always believed there was/is far more documented material that’s been hidden away than many of us could imagine. Many times the extremely rare photos and film are not revealed due to “opportunists” who are only interested in profiting off of whatever they can dig up. Sometimes it’s understandable. In this case there’s plenty of debate going on from the folks in possession of this particular collection. FWIW it’s a private collection of 35mm Kodachrome “survey” photos of the aftermath of December 7th 1941.

I’m still waiting for more information to be released through the original source.

Unknown to me as of now, but I have seen two photos and they are breathtaking. I do not have permission to post them, but I can discuss them.

Well I was wrong - I was hoping that Gordon Sterling's P-36 had been found.
Are these airfield photos or ship photos?

Chris, there’s a wide collection of destroyed aircraft, ships, buildings, runways and sadly many are quite graphic. This is what I’m being told. I’ve seen two photos, one of a close up of a destroyed B-17 and an incredible view of a panorama of battleship row. Both as clean and clear as the Kodachrome photos I’ve posted in the past.

Very interested in seeing more. I hope to be able to post some here.
