Who do those Alpha jets belong to? love the paint scheme!

The Alpha-Jets, along with the matching MiG-29 and L-39s, are all owned by billionaire Jared "Rook" Isaacman, and operated as part of the Polaris Program of pilots/astronauts.

Personally, the thing that amazes me most about Matt's pics is his ability to eliminate almost 150,000 spectators. Most of my pics have people blocking the view!

I love that last shot of the P-40 in front of the Army camp.

Any ideas on the anonymous gray two seat F-5 jet? Are the markings and numbers photoshopped out?

That is CF-5D N840MQ, owned by Hollywood film producer David Ellison, which still remains in its Canadian Air Force paint, but with the Canadian insignias painted over. Ellison also flew his recently-acquired P-51 "Cripes A' Mighty" N151BW to Oshkosh from Chino, CA (at Chino, he has a second P-51 under restoration).

This one also could have won to the "Phoenix Award", as it was a complete data plate build.
The original N74978 was destroyed in Wally McDonald's hangar fire back in the late 1980's.

Thanks John for the ID on the "MiG-28".

Did the P-51 "Was That Too Fast?" ever fly again after Monday or make it over to the warbird area? I didn't even realize it was part of the F-35 arrival because it broke off before the formation got near where I was sitting on the flight line. I never got another chance to see it.

I don't believe so, Matt. I saw a few photos of it during the week parked in the Weeks hangar, along with "Happy Jack's Go Buggy" and a few of the other show planes.

Anyone else betting on the 109G (not the Allischmitt, which is so great to see there too) making a clean sweep of the awards?

I'm so pleased to see someone else saying Allischmitt! While my money was on a clean sweep for Dr Winter's 109G I'm veyr, very glad to hear the Erickson team won something too. Bravo and well done to all award recipients!

Thanks, John! I thought I saw it parked near a hanger across Runway 27, but it was partially obscured by a jet and it was hard to tell.

The Hellcat and Wildcat sounded best on the taxi way.I for one am glad they didn't mix up radial engine aircraft and inline engine aircraft. They each have their own sweet sound.
