From Facebook. A TBM landed in a field in Illinois after apparently suffering an engine issue. Pics show it sitting on it's gear looking relatively unharmed. No mention of injuries, but looking at the aircraft, I would think everyone was fine. I'd share the pics, but they aren't mine. I'll ask if he's ok with it, and if so I'll add them to this thread. I'm also trying to identity which aircraft. It's one I haven't seen before, it has a 5 on the tail and not much else for markings.

The aircraft is BuNo.53835 (N3967A) in a new color scheme, following its recent sale. It appears the pilot was able to very successfully land the aircraft in the field with no apparent damage as a result.

Thanks John. I just went through your post about numbers of flying aircraft by type. I typed in every N number you had listed and I assumed it must be either a new restoration or a new scheme.

Chuck sold "She's the Boss"?!?! When did this happen?! Did he buy anything to replace it?

It was acquired by Ron Lauder last summer and has been based out of the Brookhaven Calabro Airport in New York since last September (where all of Lauder's warbirds are based/flown from). Chuck of course is one of the pilots of the Lauder collection.
