Yesterday I got a chance to get over to the Pacific Air War Museum on Ford Island.I really wanted to see "Swamp Ghost" but they had it shoved over in a corner with one plane in front of it and a rope barrier around the rest of it.You can't see much more than the nose and left two engines. It was disappointing in that there is plenty of room to display this true WW 2 plane in that hangar. They charge $25 a person to go in ( the charge for the battleship Missouri is $35).

I got lucky and saw it when it was stored behind Planes of Fame a few years back. It wasn't assembled, but, all the big parts where there and I touched it! Oops!

I thought that plane was the "Centerpiece" of the collection?

Visited her a few years ago, she is in pretty good nick considering her life.
I paid for the behind the scenes tour which was well worth it as by pure
luck the other people didn't show so I had a private tour.
