Korean War US Army Helicopter aircraft
$11,000 . I built this NON operational helicopter using antique WWII airplane and old car parts. It can NEVER be made to fly. It is 26ft long . The gun is a sheet metal replica that can't be made to fire. This helicopter is a one of a kind static display that I designed to hang above an antique car collection, in a mancave or to be used as yard art. Possible trade for multiple visible gas pumps or multiple porcelain gas and oil porcelain signs.

The guy put a fair amount of work into it, by all appearances. I thought you guys would be entertained by it.

Looks like an R-4-ish cabin (albeit modernized and streamlined) with a bit of Bell 47/H-13...and maybe a Robinson in the rotor head and aft cabin.

Looks like the handiwork of Artist Jason Barnett. He used to post here on WIX from time to time.

My guess is the cabin/fuselage started out as an early Bellanca Viking; compare the cabin door, instrument panel, aft tube frame shape…

Whatever it started out as, it’s pretty cool! Looks like it’d actually fly…

Good call. Was done by Jason. If it’s still available I’m assuming it is in the Alvin, Texas area.

That would be a cool thing for a museum to have as a "hands on" item for visitors.
