Nice, will it be a 1 ship or 2 ship demo?

Are other than CAF airshows run by a "air boss" or by the FAA?

TOM shows are run by Airboss, and have been for quite some time [with the exception of Blue Angels/Tbirds who use their own controllers].

Never heard of the FAA running a show, would not seem to even be their area of expertise.

If you think there perhaps might be a change due to recent well known events, that I have not heard and would not be in the loop to know.

I know neither the intended motive nor direction of this question, nor can I claim any level of expertise on the topic. The following is simply online info into which I've blundered:

Effective January 1, 2020, every air show in the United States will require the involvement of an individual who holds an FAA-issued Air Boss LoA.

The above is a direct quote from the ICAS website. I'm placing responsibility for its accuracy directly into the original author's hands.

No motive or direction at all for the question, just courious. In my lackluster Army flying days I flew in 3 airshows(in the 1980s) at Air Force bases dropping paratroopers, nothing fancy.I was just wondering how airshows are controlled at civilian fields.Thank you for the reply.

Airboss controls at military bases too, with the same exceptions ,, Idea being, to have someone highly experienced in handling the unusual traffic flow which a regular tower guy may not be well versed in.
