Relics from the scraping fields of kingman.

Sun Sep 25, 2022 7:44 pm

Good evening all, so last week I posted a mystery part that was quickly identified as a P-38 flap control. The gentleman who gave that to me decided to clean out his hanger and gave me a pile of pieces he has picked out of the ground over the last decade or so. I brought them home and soaked them in water with dawn for a day or so. This is the pile. A few things are obvious or have numbers that can be researched. Some things are so small as to be unidentifiable. Then there are the other pieces that maybe some of you recognize. Please feel free to chime in. Also if someone would confirm it for me, the cowling piece is an accessory section cowling from a B-17, right? Once cleaned up all of this is going to be part of a display that can be used to teach folks what went on here during the war and afterwards.

I have placed all the photos in an file

Thanks to all

Tom
