A Genuine Christmas Aircraft Story

Columbus OH stop on the way to Canada.JPG

Thanks to research by Tony Broadhurst, Fairchild Aircraft PT historical expert...we found out that from the data card it stopped in its current home town of Columbus Ohio Christmas Eve, 1944 on its way to Canada. More to come after Halloween...

Even with a heater that was installed on the RCAF PTs I can't imagine how cold it still was on that long ferry flight...hope the man or woman ferry pilot had warm socks!

For the special holiday significance of our CAF Buckeye Wing PT-26...we made a video to highlight its 1943 Christmas Eve journey to Columbus Ohio...and then back again!

Happy holidays!
