Great stuff!

Looks like the first few shots are at McCarran, and the rest of it up at Nellis. Can't tell where all the live firepower stuff at the end of the footage was taken; it doesn't look at all like the Nellis ranges or Nevada at all, it is too green and flat.

I especially love the low altitude B-52 mock refueling...something the AF would never do today for an airshow!

The ground displays were done close to McCarran; airpower displays at Indian Springs.

The Vulcans were a treat.
I recall seeing them at shows in the '70s, they always gave a very impressive display due to their perceived size. I always liked seeing their open bomb bay pass.

Also, at the beginning of the film there is a quick shot of a Comet.

Also, fun to see an early "Roman nose" C-130 with red tail (which most early USAF Herclules seem to have had).

Finally, a C-123, 124, 130 and 133 in quick succession.
I'm not sure I have ever seen film of a 133 before.

I've got a gripe about this - no sound!

Marvellous, thank you!

Well, Youtube is your friend.

Here is one on landing at McChord on its way to the museum at Travis AFB.

And in flight footage of it on its way to Travis.

And while we're on the subject of cargo planes from the 1959 video, a C-124 on its way to the Travis museum.

Wow. OK, that does it, I'm getting my film of the same airshow properly digitized!

The third one was XH498 per my film.

Some great videos out there which capture a sadly bygone era, must be many more that could appear one day. Lovely video on YouTube of the EC-121 leaving Camarillo* for Chino after X years - the sound (that rumbling burble that only multiple big radials on a single airframe can make) as it flies back past the airport is wonderful, something I just don't get to hear anymore...

*when I visited in 1999 there two Connies parked there and I never thought one of them would fly out, let alone both - the other is now in Europe, sadly grounded as far as I know...

Amazing footage! Someone with sound editing skills and a lot of free time could really do that footage justice.
