Does anyone know where the Hawker Sea Fury in Marrakech has gone? I can't seem to find it on Google Maps.

Wasn't that Casablanca and/or Rabat?

Marrakesh is, still, home of several T-6 wrecks & relics. (I failed to find them back in 2011, but they're reported to be still there)

T-6's Google maps

In the bottom photo we see a dozen of the 14 T-37 used by Morocco and off to the right a few T-6s.

Anyone know what the 9 center aircraft are?
There are a few contenders..but wiki doesn't list Morocco as operators of any of those.

There are supposed to be two Furies at Rabat (or at least was). The one at the roundabout, and another one inside a hangar. The one in the roundabout of course being the red one in Mike Furline's post from virtualglobetrotting.

Mike's linked Flickr photo is supposed to be an old (1980s) photo of the Marrakech Fury. It looked like this in 2016:

But I can't find it on the current Google Maps edition of Marrakesh Airport.

As you can see the T-6s are in quite a variety of disrepair. Although I think it is only 11 T-6s in the photo. The natural metal carcass at the far end is more likely a T-28/ Fennec.

Back in 2011 I think the majority of the T-6s were still located further west on the field. I'm not even sure if that compound exist as such anymore. Then they were moved to their current location. There was a photo shot of the group from the road going north/ south on the western outskirts of the airport. Not to mention the light blue and the yellow T-6 which were at the gate. And a few more still at the parade ground.
So do you mean that you were actually on- site in Marrakech looking for them, or just on Google Maps?

Why were these airframes retained at all? Is there a proposed final disposition for them?

@ T-J. I was actually in Marrakesh city for a week, as a tourist. Had several trips in the area. Also drove around/near the airport/airfield, trying to find a spot to have a look at the T-6s. Unfortunately without success. Since aircraft-spotting is/was not common practice in Morocco (and I happen to know, from experience, there's more countries ) I did not want to risk a penalty or worse. Being in the wrong place on the wrong moment.

I am still very much surprised, even the T-6s being in rather poor condition those days, they're still extant. Besides those two preserved ones.

Overlooked the obvious.

Are there that many T-6 hills out there for projects that makes these not worth recovering?
You would think someone would see value in them.
While they would need total restoration, their basic airframes should be sound considering the climate.
